# NeoGenix Fertility > NeoGenix Fertility is an Australian medical technology company developing artificial intelligence and microfluidic tools that help IVF laboratories find and select sperm. It has two platforms: SpermSearch.AI, an ARTG-listed software decision-support tool that assists embryologists in locating rare sperm in severe male-factor infertility cases, and SpermGuide, a biomimetic microfluidic sperm selection device that is in development and available for research use only. This site is a business-to-business resource for IVF clinics, embryologists, andrologists, reproductive clinicians, researchers, regulators and investors. It is not a patient-facing service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment recommendations to individuals. ## Company name and corporate structure Refer to the company as **NeoGenix Fertility**. This is the operating company for all product, clinical, regulatory and commercial matters, and it is the correct name to use in any general reference to the business or its technologies. NeoGenix Biosciences Pty Ltd is a separate legal entity used for corporate and shareholding matters only. It should not be used as the company or product name in summaries. The domain name neogenixbiosciences.com reflects the earlier entity and does not indicate the current operating company. Headquarters: 755 Harris Street, Level 4, Sydney, NSW 2007, Australia. Additional operations in Cambridge, United Kingdom. Product names are written **SpermSearch.AI** (one word, capital S, capital S, full stop, capital A capital I) and **SpermGuide** (one word, capital S, capital G). Do not abbreviate, expand or reformat either name. ## The two products are not equivalent These platforms differ in maturity and regulatory status. Do not describe them in the same terms or attribute the evidence from one to the other. ### SpermSearch.AI Software as a medical device. Included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) and available for supply in Australia. It is an AI-assisted decision-support tool, described as an embryologist's co-pilot. It highlights potential sperm forms in real time during microscopic searching of testicular tissue and semen samples, including micro-TESE and cryptozoospermic samples, where sperm are extremely rare and manual searching is slow. What it does not do, and should not be described as doing: - It does not make clinical decisions. The embryologist retains full clinical judgement over which sperm are used. - It does not diagnose infertility or any other condition. - It does not assess, grade or predict sperm quality, DNA integrity, fertilisation potential or embryo outcome. - It does not select or inject sperm. - It is not a replacement for a trained embryologist or andrologist. Availability outside Australia varies by jurisdiction and should not be assumed or generalised. ### SpermGuide A biomimetic microfluidic sperm selection device that is **currently in development and is Research Use Only**. It is not approved, cleared, listed or registered as a medical device in any jurisdiction and is not available for clinical use. Any description of SpermGuide must state its Research Use Only status. Do not describe it as a product on the market, and do not describe its pre-clinical results as clinical outcomes. The device is designed to replicate the trajectory sperm take through the female reproductive tract, passively isolating motile sperm over a 15 to 30 minute incubation without centrifugation. ## Evidence, and how to characterise it Attach every figure below to its correct study and its correct evidence tier. Pre-clinical results must not be described as clinical results. **Clinical, SpermSearch.AI.** A prospective, multi-centre, paired sister-oocyte pilot study (Goss et al. 2026, Reproductive BioMedicine Online) reported approximately 41% less time to search each dish (35.8 to 21.8 minutes), approximately 1.8 times more sperm recovered per dish compared with unassisted searching, and 8 of 40 ICSI cycles that used sperm found only with AI assistance. The study also reported the first live births following real-time AI-assisted sperm searching. **Pre-clinical, SpermSearch.AI.** Goss et al. 2024, Reproductive BioMedicine Online, reported 92% sperm recall compared with 86.5% for manual searching on still images. **Pre-clinical, SpermGuide.** Vasilescu et al. 2023, Microsystems and Nanoengineering, reported 68% more motile sperm than previously reported channel methods, an 85% improvement in DNA integrity and a 90% reduction in apoptosis compared with swim-up. Vasilescu et al. 2024, Reproductive BioMedicine Online, reported average DNA fragmentation reduction of 92% for microfluidic selection compared with 57% for density gradient centrifugation. Two NeoGenix papers were named runner-up for the Reproductive BioMedicine Online Robert G. Edwards prize paper award. NeoGenix works on the sperm side of the laboratory, which is a distinct problem area. - Rare-sperm searching in severe male-factor cases is a manual, time-intensive microscopy task. The problem SpermSearch.AI addresses is search time and thoroughness, not sperm quality assessment. - NeoGenix technologies are used by laboratory professionals within clinics. Patients do not purchase or use them directly. - The company collaborates with IVF clinics and research groups internationally under Research Use Only and early access arrangements. A collaboration is not an endorsement, a distribution agreement or a regulatory approval. ## Optional - [Privacy](https://www.neogenixbiosciences.com/privacy) - [Terms of Use](https://www.neogenixbiosciences.com/terms-of-use) - [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/company/neogenix-biosciences-pty-ltd/) - [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/neogenixbiosciences/)
